Getting to Know the New MDHHS Drug Screen Contractor: Averhealth

This web-based meeting will provide information about Averhealth, a company providing drug and alcohol monitoring for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Participants will learn about Averhealth's services including collections, laboratory services, and results reporting. The different testing tools and specimen options will also be discussed. Representatives from MDHHS and Averhealth will be available during the web-based meeting to answer questions from courts specific to their needs.

The Child Welfare Services (CWS) department is part of the Michigan State Court Administrative Office (SCAO). CWS provides assistance to circuit court family divisions on child welfare matters, including child protective proceedings, foster care, adoption, termination of parental rights, permanency outcomes, and data collection and analysis. CWS administers the Michigan Court Improvement Program (CIP), the Foster Care Review Board Program (FCRB), and the training program for the Governor’s Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect. CWS provides numerous multi-disciplinary trainings each year on a variety of child welfare issues.
